Staten Island Ferry Accident

Our firm has represented Staten Island and New York City residents in complex personal injury claims for over 20 years. Lead attorney in the Staten Island Ferry Accident case

Anthony Bisignano was named the "Lead Attorney" in the Federal Court proceeding to act on behalf of all law firms involved in the Staten Island Ferry crash. The City of New York attempted to escape responsibility to compensate the victims and families of the crash by hiding behind a legal loophole created by an antiquated 19th century statute. In a hotly contested case, at the trial court level, Mr. Bisignano successfully defeated the City's attempt to limit its liability to the value of the ferry boat. The City appealed the trial court's decision and that further attempt by the City to prolong the case is currently being challenged.
